Albert H."Boop" Shirley 80 of Apollo passed away on Sunday September 20,2015.  He was born May 8, 1935 and the son of the late Louis and Emma (Walker) Shirley.  He was employed for 25 years at the Salina Brick yard and  also for W.W. Rearick where he worked with water lines.  Albert never really retired he loved to work and worked well into his seventies.  In the past he was an avid hunter and enjoyed his westerns on T.V., He was a great fan of eating and family gatherings and always looked forward to his family visits. He is survived by two sons Ricky (Jamey) Shirley of Apollo, Randy Shirley of Parks Township, a daughter Nena  Harkleroad of Parks Township, a nephew whom he raised as his own Brandon (Morgan) King of Apollo, five grandchildren Shawn Harkleroad, Brandon Shirley, Courtney Shirley, Bryan Harkleroad, Savannah Shirley,  three great grandchildren, three brothers James "Pete" Shirley of Spring Church, Richard Shirley of Kiski Township, Robert  (Maryann) Shirley of Kiski Township, Ronald "Bud" Shirley of Arizona, two sisters Geraldine "Doll" Casella of Kiski Township, Betty Jean of Rotchester. In addition to his parents,  he is preceded death by  his significant other Shirley Sanford, a brother William Shirley and a sister Virginia May Sipe.
