Althea Cupec 79 of Vandergrift passed away September 3, 2013.  She was born December 4, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Gertrude (Burns) Bowser. Althea had been employed at Shusters Awnings and Venango Awnings. She loved to sew, garden, bake cookies and she was famous for her apple dumplings.  She is a member of The Church of God in North Apollo. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by five brothers Harold, Chuck, Bob, Floyd, and Bill.  Althea is survived by her husband of sixty years Harold Cupec, two sons Harold (Debbie) Cupec of Kepple Hill, Shawn (Kitty) Cupec of Kepple Hill, and a daughter Anita (Frank) Bozzarelli of Florida, two sisters, Betty (Harry) Miller of Apollo and Lois (Harold) Hughes of Vandergrift, a brother, Allan (Ginnie) Bowser, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  There will be a visitation on Wednesday September 4, 2013 From 2-4 and on 6-8 at the Janette L Gamble funeral  home Inc. 724-567-7006.  With a private family blessing at eight  o'clock with Pastor Bob Shallenberger officiating.
