Barry J Lamison, 49, of Vandergrift PA passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Presbyterian University Hospital in Pittsburgh PA. He was born on March 29, 1965 in Tarentum PA. Son of the late Wilbert M Lamison and Doris F (Richardson) Lamison. Barry was a big hearted soul who lived the majority of his life in the Kiski Valley. He was a graduate of Kiski Area HS Class of 1983 and Penn Technical School of Electronics. He was an Army Veteran, and a member of the American Legion Post No. 114 in Vandergrift. Barry loved adventure and travel, he was an avid outdoorsman who was passionate about hunting and fishing; he was a great cook and loved to entertain family and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Lamison in 1976. Survivors include his wife Kathy J (Westergom) Lamison, his daughter Tiffany A Lamison (Douglas J Leipertz), of Plum Pa, and two Step-sons Chase J Westergom, of Kepple Hill, and Justin T Westergom, of Indiana PA. Also surviving are his two Brothers James (Mariam) Lamison, of Lower Burrell, Douglas M Lamison, of Bedford, Ohio, his sister, Shari A. (Bill) Serena, of Washington Township, five nieces Kasey, Danielle, Bethany, Nicole, and Erin; his beloved Pomeranians Theodore and Eleanor, and a great number of friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held in his honor Friday, July 25 from 6-8 p.m. with the memorial service beginning at 7 p.m. at the Janette Gamble Funeral Home Inc. 2842 River Road Vandergrift, PA 15690 724-567-7006 with Chaplin Robert Smith officiating. Memorial service will be held on July 25, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. With the service starting at 7pm. Full military honors with the Vandergrift honor guard.
