Carla Couturiaux, 50, of Spring Church, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013. She was born Dec. 30, 1962, the daughter of Mary Stripling, of Apollo, and the late Carl Stripling Sr. Carla was the assistant manager at Wal-Mart in Kittanning. Carla loved to work. If there was something to be done, she was always there to help. Her favorite pastime was shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Carla is survived by her mother Mary Stripling, of Apollo; two wonderful children, Richard (Danielle) Shaeffer, of Vandergrift, and Kristie Shaeffer (DaWayne Redmond), of West Leechburg; three brothers, Frank (Bea) Gwynn, of Apollo, Greg (Chrissy) Gwynn, of Reynoldsville, and Clyde (Betty) Stripling, of Apollo; three grandchildren, Brooklyn, Ashton and Nevaeh; and her dog, Macys. Carla was preceded in death by her father, Carl Stripling Sr.; a sister, Brenda Stripling; and a brother, Carl Stripling Jr. There will be a visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, and 10 until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday at the JANETTE L.
