Carolyn A. Walker, 74, of Apollo went to be with the Lord July 31, 2018. She was born June 17, 1944 and the daughter of the late Chester (Josephine Daciola) Slomka. She was married to the late Dean Walker for 52 years and was a member of Saint Gertrude's Parish in Vandergrift. Carolyn was an avid reader who loved to crochet. She spent many hours canning, baking, and doing crafts. She is survived by her two sons Joseph Walker of Pittsburgh and Charl (Linda) Walker of Fawn Township, a daughter Heather (Ed) Slepsky of Charlotte North Carolina, two sisters Linda (Bill) Wilmot of Export, Patricia (Jack) Wilmot of Apollo, two grandchildren Dustin and Chelsea, two great grandchildren Blake and Cameron, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Dean Walker and two sisters Millie (Slomka) Walter and Barbara (Slomka) Maddox. Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and a Mass on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00 am with Father James Loew OSB officiating at The Janette L.
