Charles William Colvill, 74, of Gilpin Township passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021. He was born on July 13, 1946 and the son of the late Charles (Ida Deyo Casholle) Colvill. Charles was a United States Navy Veteran and a graduate of Newburgh High School in Newburgh, New York. He was employed as a baker at Broadway Bakery in New York and also worked in the Paper Mill in Cornwall New York. Charles favorite past time was Stock Car Racing with his nephew Thomas Terry, building model cars and ships, and collecting baseball cards. He loved spending time with his family and his cat Kidder. Charles is survived by his son Christopher Colvill, daughter Kathleen Miller, grandson Kurt Colvill all of New York, two brothers: Chester and Edward of New York, three sisters: Beatrice Terry of New York, Linda (Robert) Shirley of Vandergrift, and Barbara (William) Gerhard of Vegas, ex-wife Kathleen Freire, niece Anita Bernard who was his caretaker for many years, and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews and great nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Colvill and a brother-in-law Fred Terry. There will be a celebration of Charles Life at a later time.
