Charles Thomas Kingirski, 78, formerly of Vandergrift passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018, at St. Clair Hospital with his family by his side. He is the son of the late K.C. and Helen Zubal Kingirski. Chuck was an Army veteran, entering on graduation from Vandergrift High School. Upon his discharge, he began working for Wean until they closed the plant. He owned The Book Shelf in Vandergrift for many years as well. Chuck enjoyed volunteering with several organizations, the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Fund each year, the town's food bank and early live theatre at the casino, but his joys were gardening with his young grandson and time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice (Presensky) Kingirski, of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Margaret (Chris) Johnson; a grandson, Brandon Johnson, of Pittsburgh; a sister, Sondra Lee (Patrick) Strong, of Apollo; a brother in law, Charles (Shinobu) Presensky Jr. of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
