Dale Eugene Townsend, 75, of Apollo passed away on December 30, 2020. He was born March 2, 1945, and the son of the late, Dale and Rosella (Roberts) Townsend. Dale was employed as a truck Driver for many years. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Dale loved to fix and rebuild Chevy trucks and muscle cars. He spent many hours watching Westerns and cowboy movies. Dale enjoyed being outdoors: hunting, fishing, and raising his animals; especially, his dog Cheyenne. He cherished the times he went boating with his sister and brother-in-law at Raystown Lake and the road trips with his beautiful wife; where they traveled the northern and southern states together. Dale is survived by his wife and soul mate for over 30 years, Cynthia (Cook) Townsend of Apollo; a brother, Donald (Sherry) Townsend of Apollo; two Sisters, Sylvia (David) Harmon of Apollo and Jule (Larry) Lindsay of Spring Church; two grandchildren, Carisa Wallace of Greensburg and Daniel Townsend; a brother-in-law, Ray Cook of Apollo; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Brian Townsend and a sister, Rosalee Walker. Family and Friends will be received on Sunday, January 3, 2020, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm unil the 8:00 pm service with Pastor Paul Eckenrode.
