Darlene Holland, 50, of Vandergrift, passed away suddenly Wednesday April 24, 2013, in her home. She was born Sept. 24, 1961, the daughter of the late Robert and Lola J. Gibsond Holland. She is a graduate from Highlands High School in Natrona Heights and a veteran of the Army. She was employed as head mechanic at H.D. Alternator in New Kensington. Darlene loved the outdoors and fishing with her best friend Allen Siebel, hunting, hiking, camping and spending time with her family and friends. Darlene is survived by the love of her life, Melissa Siebel and their son, Allen Siebel Jr., of Vandergrift; two brothers, Daniel Holland and Robert Holland; a sister, Ruth Greenwalt, all of South Carolina; four nieces, Debra Benedetti-Koedel and children, Diane, Dalton and Dylan, of Vandergrift, Kristy (Jayson) Snyder and daughter, Katie, of Leechburg, Deonna Walker and son, Tanner, of New Kensington, and Diana Walker and son, Mathew, of Lower Burrell; and nephew, Daniel Walker and son, Broody, of Tarentum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, George A. Benedetti III. The family will be having a celebration of Darlene's life at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Northmoreland Park, where a balloon release will take place.
