David Lehner
Smith
December 6, 1967 – May 25, 2024
David Lehner Smith, 56, of Kittanning passed away suddenly on May 25, 2024. Born on December 6, 1967, he was the son of the late Joseph Lehner Smith and Garnet Pearl Cravenor Renfro. Dave was a graduate of Lenape Technical School then worked as a welder. He was proud to be a member of the welders, brick layers, boilermakers, and sheet metal workers unions. He loved classic rock music, riding motorcycles, and being the life of the party. Often referred to as Slugo, Dave always had a smile and joke for everyone. Dave was a charmer and so charismatic that he could easily connect with others and leave a lasting impression. He always prioritized his family and looked forward to every outing or event.
Dave is survived by his son, Alexander Lehner Smith of Kittanning; his daughter, Emily of Virginia; his three sisters: Terri (Bob Stoker) Cribbs of Elderton, Lisa (Tim) McCullough of Ford City, and Denise (Scott) Ion of Cowansville; a grandson, Noah Lehner Smith; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as his wife, Amy Erdley Smith of Elderton; and his companion for many years, Becky Matson and her grandchildren that he always considered as his own.
