Deborah A. Nemit, 73, of Vandergrift passed away on June 16, 2024. She was born April 29, 1951, and the daughter of the late William and Marion Crooks Miller. Debbie was a graduate of Kiski Area High School class of 1969. She was a homemaker for her family and babysat for many children in the neighborhood. She enjoyed shopping, holidays, and baking cookies. Debbie loved her church family and treasured her granddaughters and great-grand babies. Debbie will be remembered for her laughter and kindness but mostly for her undeniable love for her family and friends.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Joe, of 53 years; two daughters, Dannette Johnson of Apollo and Chrissy L. Nemit of Vandergrift; two granddaughters, McKenzi and Sarabyrle; two great-grandchildren, Xeniyah and Kash; her brother, Thomas (Sue) Miller of Parks Township; four brother-in-laws: John (Audrey) Nemit of South Carolina, Donald (Bev) Nemit of Mt. Oliver, Richard (Maxine) Nemit of Sharron, PA, and George Nemit of Madison; a sister-in-law, Janet Author of Mississippi; many nieces and nephews; her dogs, Dixie and Dixon; and her cat, Ashland.

In addition to her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Karen Nemit.

A visitation will be on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home, Inc. 2842 River Road Vandergrift, PA 15690. A service will be on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 5:00 pm with Pastor April Bell officiating at The Morning Star Baptist Church of Kiskimere, Vandergrift.
