Denise Ann Rupert, 67, of Apollo went to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 25, 2021.  She was born November 4, 1953 and the daughter of Dorothy (Burkett) and the late Donald Reid of West Leechburg.  Denise was a graduate of Leechburg High School and was a member of Orchard Hills Church.  Denise retired from UniFirst Corporation after forty years of employment.  After retirement she drove van for STA. Her passion was helping others, feeding the homeless and sewing. She played several musical instruments and enjoyed singing with her family. Her favorite movie was enchanted.  Denise loved to go bowling and taking her grandchildren for ice cream and hunting deer with her family. She is survived by her mother Dorothy Reid of Apollo, her son Leslie Rupert of Apollo, brother Donald (Shawna) Reid of West Leechburg, a sister Carol (David) Ward of North Apollo, four grandchildren: Lynzi, Jessica, Leslie, and Larry Rupert and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father Donald Reid, she is preceded in death by her husband Larry Rupert, two sisters Frances Bolinger and Linda Shaffer, a brother-in-law Doug Shaffer, her maternal grandparents William and Ella Burkett, and her paternal grandparents Elmer and Violet Reid. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 10:00 am till the time of service at 11:00 am with Pastor Todd Pugh officiating at the Janette L.
