Dennis M.
Hall
May 8, 1952 – November 23, 2025
Dennis M. Hall, 73, of Apollo, passed away on November 23, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with ALS. He was born on May 8, 1952, in Olney, Maryland, to the late Harry B. Hall and Lillian C. Starr.
Dennis graduated from Glen Burnie High School in Maryland, and continued his education at Western Pennsylvania Bible Institute in Butler were he met his wife. He received a degree in computer networking at Westmoreland Community College. He retired from Mercy Hospital, where he worked faithfully in environmental services for 20 years. A devoted member of the former Apollo Assembly of God and Christian Assembly of God, Dennis served in various ministry's. Always willing to lend a hand, Dennis's life was centered on his faith and family. His happiest memory was being filled with the Holy Spirit, and he often shared the lesson he held most dear: "Keep your eyes on Jesus"
He cherished spending time with his wife of 49 years, MaryEllen, his four daughters, and his church family. Dennis enjoyed reading, especially The Chronicles of Narnia and his Bible. He loved to write poetry, including writing a song that was later put to music. He also enjoyed serving in ministry alongside his wife, where they assisted in creating the children's program at Evangel Heights Church in Natrona Heights. He also served at several Christian children's camps in ministry. His inventive spirit led him to solve many practical problems. Dennis found joy in simple pleasures like thrifting and yard sales, always making the most of life.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen Kallquist Hall of Apollo; his daughters: Melissa Hall of Pittsburgh, Rebekah Hall, Deborah Hall, and Erin Hall, all of Apollo; his sister, Susanne (Gerry) Beachy of Maryland; his sister-in-law, Susan (John) Giesmann of West Virginia; Brother-in-law, William (Christine) Kallquist Giesmann of North Carolina; and nieces and nephews.
