Doris A. Funkhouser, 55, of Leechburg passed away after her courageous battle of lung cancer on July 23, 2022. She was born on November 8, 1966, and the daughter of Ruth Ann (Stegner) James Graham and the late Thomas A. Funkhouser. Doris was a graduate of Leechburg High School. She dedicated many hours working as a pharmacist technician at CVS Pharmacy and as management at the Leechburg Giant Eagle. She was always very proud of her work and accomplishments. Doris loved making people happy and could make anyone laugh. She adored her family and the time she spent outdoors, camping, and with her beloved dog, Mindy. Doris is survived by her mother Ruth (James) Graham of Leechburg, her brother, Thomas Funkhouser of Leechburg; three sisters: Kathy (Jacob) Piper of Kittanning, Tina (William) Covey of Leechburg, and Jennifer (Bruce) Myers of Leechburg; one special aunt, Brenda (Harold) Claypool of Sarver; an uncle Philip Stegner of Leechburg; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Howard and Ruth (Pierce)Stegner; her paternal grandparents, Fred and Grace Funkhouser; her aunt Nancy, uncle, Don., a dear friend Deborah Larson, and her dog Sadie. Family and friends will be received for a visitation on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until the time of service at 8:00 pm with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating at the Janette L.
