Dorothy Jean Reid, 89, of Leechburg, passed away on January 12, 2025. Born on February 2, 1935, to the late William and Ella (Smail) Burkett, Dorothy treasured every moment spent at family gatherings. She had a passion for singing and would often be found delighting friends with her beautiful voice at the High Rise and church. Dorothy's artistic spirit shone through in her intricate drawings and the delicate crochet pieces she lovingly crafted. Dorothy was a dedicated member of Kiski Valley Assembly of God, where her kindness and compassion touched many lives.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Donald (Shawani) Reid of West Leechburg; her daughter, Carol (David) Ward of North Apollo; seven grandchildren: Audrey, Alessa, Brittany, Kaitlynn, Leslie, Nicole, and Michael; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Reid Sr.; three daughters: Frances Bollinger, Denise Rupert, and Linda Shaffer; two brothers, William Burkett and James Burkett; her sister, Grace Altman; her mother-in-law, Violet Shutt; two grandchildren Amanda and Elizabeth; two great-grandchildren.
