Eleanor L. Wolfe Stevenson, 93, of Apollo, formerly of Penn Hills, went to be with the Lord on Monday December 4, 2017, with her family by her side. She was born May 24, 1924 and is the daughter of the late Phillip and Edna (Thornburg) Protheroe. Eleanor was a graduate of Swissvale High School and a member of The Plum Creek Presbyterian Church where she participated in the choir and bell choir. She retired from Penn Hills School District after 25 years of working in the cafeteria. Eleanor enjoyed camping and crocheting but her true passion was square dancing. She is survived by her sons William (Doris) Wolfe of Apollo, Harry Wolfe of Plum Borough, and her daughter Patricia (Rory) Badali of Plum Borough, a sister Marie Walter of Braddock, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband William Wolfe, Vern Stevenson, her grandson William Wolfe and her siblings Ted, Ray, Phil, Bob, and Betty. Family and Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am till the time of service at 11:00 am at The Janette L.
