Elizabeth A. McCarthy, 86, of Apollo went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 17, 2022. She was born on December 5, 1935, and the daughter of the late Sinfroso and Ann Gamboa. Elizabeth enjoyed the time she spent in her kitchen. She cherished her family and loved to bring them together with her cooking.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Donna (Mark) Earley of Apollo; three sons: Thomas McCarthy of Apollo, Michael (Barbara) McCarthy of Hyde Park, and Mark (Lynn) McCarthy of Gilpin; eleven grandchildren; and her sister, June Vincent of Illinois.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McCarthy Sr.; two sons, James and John McCarthy; and her sister, Maria Brewer.
