George John Milanak Rimmel , 61, of Leechburg passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025. He was born on January10, 1964, and the son of the late John and Nancy ( McAninch  ) Rimmel. George attended Leechburg High School.  George retired as superintendent in commercial construction, he also worked as a mechanic for 15 years prior and worked multiple odd end jobs in addition to provide for his family. He loved his family, spending time with his sons, family vacations, hunting and fishing, boating, gambling, getting scratch off tickets to scratch with his granddaughter, He enjoyed life and made the most of it, he spent many days of his youth at his moms bar in west Leechburg the 'Town Tavern', laughing with friends and neighbors. He was a mentor to everyone who knew him, his home was a haven for anyone who needed a place to call home.  He is survived by two sons George Rimmel II, of West Leechburg, Ronald (Rachael) Rimmel of West Leechburg, and a stepdaughter Damia Lorenz of West Leechburg. a brother James (Lori) Rimmel of Kansas, a sister Mary Jane of Irwin four grandchildren Shyah, Evalynn, Myles, Waylon, his fiancé Joni Lorenz of Freeport formerly of Leechburg and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 brothers John Rimmel, Charles Rimmel, Gregory Rimmel. Family and friends will be received on Saturday May 3, 2025, from 12 pm to 2 pm with a service  immediately following at 2 pm .at the Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home Inc. 2842 River Road Vandergrift, Pa 15690, 724-567-7006. Interment will be Pleasant hill Cemetery, West Leechburg.
