Gregory P. Shellhammer Jr., 30, of Shelocta, passed away on January 16, 2025, following injuries from an ATV accident in May 2024. Born January 15, 1995, he was the beloved son of Gregory (Jennifer) Shellhammer Sr. and Lisa (Timothy) Higgins. Greg was a graduate of Lenape Technical School with a major in Hvac He was employed by Chem Stream as a truck driver. Greg was an avid outdoorsman with a profound love for hunting, fishing, and canning. His green thumb extended to gardening and farming, and he took great pride in caring for his chickens and goats. Riding his side-by-side was one of his many favorite pastimes. Above all, he was a devoted and loving son, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Gregory is survived by his father, Gregory (Jennifer) Shellhammer Sr. of Shelocta; his mother, Lisa (Timothy) Higgins of Apollo; his twin sister, Karissa Shellhammer of Vandergrift; two brothers, Sam and Ben Shellhammer of Shelocta; his niece, Laelah George; his nephew, Wyatt George; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; his dog, Lilly; and several chickens and goats.

Gregory is preceded in death by his brother, Levi Shellhammer; his maternal grandparents, James (Shirley) Hawk Sr.; and his paternal grandparents, Dorm and Deborah Shellhammer.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am.
