Harold "Sonny" Cupec, 82, of Vandergrift passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016.  He was born February 26, 1933,  in Kepple Hill where he was a lifelong member of the community.  He was the son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Dynka Cupec.  He married  Althea Bowser in 1953 and  they were married for sixty years until her passing,  September 2, 2013.  He worked as a Coal Miner for R.& P. Coal Company and is a veteran of  the United States Army.  He was a member of The Church of God in North Apollo.  Harold enjoyed hunting for many years but his true love was his family and grandchildren.  He always had a smile and encouraging words to brighten your day, he will be truly missed by all who knew him.  Survivors include two Sons Shawn (Kitty) Cupec of Altoona, Harold (Debbie) Cupec of Vandergrift, a Daughter Anita (Frank) Bozzarelli of Florida, a Sister Alice Hepler of Kepple Hill, six Grandchildren, and two Great Grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Wife Althea Cupec,  three Brothers John, George, Stephen Cupec and one Sister Ethel Klingensmith. Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a service immediately following at 8:00 pm at The Janette L.
