Harold R. Hughes Sr. Vandergrift Harold R. Hughes Sr., 87, of Vandergrift, went to be with the Lord Friday, Aug. 29, 2014. He was born Dec. 31, 1926, a son of the late Vernon Hughes Sr. and Margaret (Peg) Iseman and stepdad  Dwight (Whitey) Iseman. Harold worked at B&W, Sears and Kmart. He was an Army veteran, a life member of Apollo No. 2 Fire Company, a member of Apollo Free Methodist church and an animal lover. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, socializing, watching the Steelers, western shows and crime shows. Harold is survived by his wife, Lois Hughes; two daughters, Donna (Patrick) Wysocki, of Apollo, and Jody Bowersox, of Apollo; a son, Harold (Bonnie) Hughes Jr., of Apollo; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and an extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Hughes Jr.; and a grandson. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, with a service at 4 p.m., at the JANETTE L.
