Hazel Darlene Maines, 55, of Apollo, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, from complications of lung cancer. She was born Aug. 12, 1960, and is the daughter of Rose Rossi Baker Steffey and the late Donald Clair Baker. Hazel enjoyed working on her computer, bingo, fishing and taking pictures, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving mother, Rose Rossi Baker Steffey; her husband of 33 years, Ret. Staff Sgt. Mike Maines; her daughter, Justine Moore; her sons, Grant Maines and Jeff Baker; her daughter-in-law, Holly Brown; and son-in-law, Jared Moore and Kimberly Marable; as well as her 11 grandchildren; 8 siblings, Norbert, Donna, Debbie, Donald, Diane, Duane, Darla and Brenda; 9 in-laws, Sue, Ted, Calvin, Lois, Janice, Karen, Rachelle, Phil and Keith; 2 dogs; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Baker; and her grandparents, Edith and Guido Rossi, and Mabel and Wilbur Baker.
