Janet Lee Duffy, 77, of Vandergrift PA died June 13, 2016 while surrounded by loving family.  She was born on February 21, 1939 in Rochester, New York and the daughter of the late William Russell and Mary Jane Spoor McDermott.  She was a member of the St. Paul High Field Lutheran Church.  Janet served our lord as a member of the choir and at times as a Sunday school teacher and was a past member of the #2 Vandergrift Fireman's ladies auxiliary.  Her love for the outdoors, camping, and spending time at family picnics were not surpassed by her love of country music and making ceramics.  She is survived by her five Sons Edward Shirley of Dayton PA, Russell and Donna Shirley of Tucson AZ, John and Mary Shirley of Apollo PA, Robert and Linda Shirley of Vandergrift PA, and Shawn Wright of Vandergrift PA, two Brothers Frank McDermott and Thomas and Cindee McDermott of Apollo PA, a sister Mary Jane Slicker of Vandergrift PA, nineteen Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, and numerous Nieces and Nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by an infant Brother George. Friends and Family will be received on Friday June 17, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at The Janette L.
