Jeffrey
Hughan
May 1, 1956 – January 5, 2026
Jeffrey L. Hughan, 69, of Apollo, passed away on January 5, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 1, 1956, in Olney, he was the son of the late Paul and Eula McCutcheon.
After graduating from Kiski Area High School in 1975, Jeff built a career as a truck driver with Stivason Trucking. He found deep joy in the outdoors and spent countless cherished days at L and M Campground, where he formed lasting bonds with his camping family. Known for his generosity and his instinct to help anyone who needed a hand, Jeff's life was rooted in a quiet, unwavering love for his family. His happiest moments were the simple ones spent with them all together. He especially treasured fishing with his brother Paul, tinkering with projects big and small, and taking unhurried rides on the golf cart, moments that brought him peace, laughter, and a sense of home. His most recent labor of love was a tiny home he built so he and his wife could enjoy their time camping even more fully.
Jeff shared 47 devoted years with his wife, Susan Connor Hughan. Together, they created a life full of love, laughter, and meaningful traditions. He was a proud father to Amy Hughan Feldbusch of Vandergrift and Julia Hughan Piovesan, and a beloved grandfather to Kaylee and Kyla McCullough, Amber Aikins, and Benjamin Sample. He is also survived by his brother, Paul (Doris) Hughan of Allegheny Township; many nieces and nephews; and his much‑loved Cocker Spaniel, Abbey, who rarely left his side.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Jennifer Hughan Sample; and his grandson, Daniel Thomas Eck.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home Inc., 2842 River Road, Vandergrift, PA 15690, 724-567-7006. Online condolences may be shared at gamblefh.com
