Jennifer Borden, 48, of Apollo went to be with the Lord October 31, 2017 at Forbes Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born December 18, 1968 and the daughter of James and Janet (Walker) Poydence. Jennifer was a student at St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church in Vandergrift, a Kiski Area High School graduate class of 1986, and a University of Pittsburgh Graduate with a degree in Communications class of 1990. She was once employed at AT&T as a customer service trainer and she worked at J.C. Penny's catalog department at the Pittsburgh Mills. Jennifer loved traveling to the beach, and spending time with her dog Juna. Jennifer is survived by her husband William Michael Borden of Apollo, her son Jacob "JB" Borden, her parents James and Janet (Walker) Poydence of Parks Township, a sister Jackie Poydence of Parks Township, a brother Rob (Amie Mazza) Poydence of Apollo, a mother-in-law Edeltraud Wolf of Cambridge Springs, two sister's-in-law Heidi (Randy) Miller of Meadville and Crystal (Nick) Rizzo of Venetia, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Robert and Marjorie Walker Sr., her paternal grandparents Joe and Helen Poydence, and her uncle Robert L. Walker Jr. Family and Friends will be received on Friday, November 3, 2017 for mass at 10:00 am at the St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church with Father James Loew OSB officiating.
