Joseph Penvose, 80, of Vandergrift crossed the rainbow bridge to be with his beloved dogs and his daughter on April 10, 2023. He was born on July 25, 1934, and was the son of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Kelly) Penvose. Joe was a graduate of Freeport High School and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Sarver and the Vandergrift VFW. Joe was a Roll Turner and a Grinder at Allegheny Ludlum of Vandergrift, Brackenridge, and Baghdad before retiring as a Machinist in 2020. He continued to keep busy making things and wood working in his spare time. Joe loved to spend time with his beautiful wife and family, especially his grandchildren.

Joe is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Jane (Knoch) Penvose; two sons, Joseph Penvose of Leechburg and Bud Penvose of Vandergrift; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his daughter, Tamela Lynn Kotal; several brothers and sisters; and his pet dogs.
