Joshua Avery Kistler, 34, formerly of Vandergrift passed away October 25, 2024. He was born on September 17, 1990, and the son of Kevin Kistler of Pittsburgh and Lori (James) Kersten White of Florida. Josh attended Kiski Area High School. He infused every gathering with his infectious love for music, strumming his guitar and soaking in live concerts. Josh's childhood was marked by a passion for baseball, football, and skateboarding, making him the heart of every adventure. His energy drew him to the great outdoors, where he found joy in hiking. Josh's greatest treasure was his daughter, who brought an incredible light into his life.

In addition to his parents, Josh is survived by his daughter, RyLynn Lee Kistler of Vandergrift; his two sisters, Nikki Reed of Vandergrift and Cloe Kistler of Clarion; two nephews, Aiden and Davian Reed; his maternal grandmother, Regina Kersten of Florida; two aunts, Denise (Gary) Woodring of Florida and Tiffany Coldwell of Florida; and numerous cousins.

Josh is Preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Jane White; brother-in-law, Michael Reed; maternal grandfather, Roger Kersten; paternal grandfather, William Kistler; paternal grandmother, Donna Belice; and his uncle, Joe Kersten.

Family and Friends will be received on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm with a service from Pastor Scott Fairman immediately following at the Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home Inc. 2842 River Road Vandergrift, PA 15690. 724-567-7006. In Leu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
