Kathleen Ann Gess, 73, of Tionesta, passed away on Saturday, January  10, 2026 after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 1, 1952 and the daughter of the late John and Evalyn (Brubaker) Hoffman. Kathy loved the outdoors, camping with family, Driving and exploring with her husband Cliff. She spent many hours crocheting making cherished blankets, she would help and care for anyone that was in need. Kathy was a Vandegrift High School Area Graduate and a licensed care giver whom was once employed with Pine View Nursing home. She loved to collect black bears and surrounded their home and camp with them. Kathy is survived by her husband Clifford Gess of Tionesta, a son Jody "Joe" Orr of Brookville, two sisters Vivian Hoffman of Apollo. Ann (Glenn) King of South Carolina, a brother John (Cory)  Hoffman of Apollo. Grandchildren,.Cortney, Corey, Cade, Amber, and Austin and great grandchildren. Two step children Crystal Gess of Meadville, Michael Gess of Vandergrift. And numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Becky Clark, a son Nyle "Sonny" Orr, two sisters Delores Daugherty, Lucy Stivison, a brother Frank Hoffman, a nephew Timothy Hoffman and her niece Chrissy George.
