Leona M. Scott 86 of Parks Township passed away Thursday,  January 23, 2014.    She was born July 5, 1927 and the daughter of the late Oliver and Hetty (Barr) Walters. Leona loved her family and for several years was a foster parent to several  children.  she enjoyed trips to the casino with her son, and holiday dinners surrounded by family, she had thirteen siblings growing up and always a place in her heart for each one of them. Leona is survived by two children  a daughter Vicki Scott of  Leechburg  and Randy (Crystal) Scott of North Apollo, a daughter in law Karen Scott of Gilpin Twp. Four brothers Carl Walters of Vandergrift , Floyd Walters of Texas,  Jack (Sharron) Walters of North Carolina, Dale (Margaret)  Walters of Apollo,  four sisters Linda Gahn of Spring church, Virginia Napier of Elderton,  Dorothy Thornton of Texas,  Joan Kunselman of West Leechburg , nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Eugene Scott, a son Robert Dale Scott, three brothers Buster Walters, Neal Walters, Harry Walters and one sister Hazel Walters. There will be a visitation on January 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Janette L. Gamble funeral Home Inc. 2842 River road Vandergrift , Pa 15690, 724-567-7006and from 12 to the time of service at 1 pm. with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating.  Burial will take place at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 26 from two to four and on Monday from twelve till Time of service at one.
