Levi Hunter Shellhammer, 16, of Shelocta passed away tragically on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. He was born on May 15, 2001, and the son of Gregory (Jennifer) Shellhammer Sr. of Shelocta and Lisa Hawk of Vandergrift. Levi attended Lenape Technical School where he majored in Welding. Levi had a passion for the outdoors. He loved to go hunting and fishing. Many of his hobbies included skiing, kayaking, riding his dirt bike, and playing baseball. Levi was an amazing son and friend who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his father Gregory (Jennifer) Shellhammer Sr. of Shelocta and his mother Lisa Hawk of Vandergrift, three brothers Gregory (Makayla) Shellhammer Jr. of Sarver, Sam Shellhamer of Shelotca, and Ben Shellhammer of Shelocta, a sister Karissa Shellhammer of Elderton, a niece Laelah George, a nephew Wyatt George, a maternal grandmother Shirely Hawk of Vandergrift, a paternal grandfather Dorm Shellhammer Sr. of Ford City, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by a maternal grandfather James Hawk Sr. and a paternal grandmother Debra Shellhammer.
