Obituary

Lois (Bowser) Hughes, 81 of Vandergrift, went to be with the lord on Monday, April 6, 2015.  She was born August 10, 1933.  She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Gertrude Bowser.  Lois was a member of the Apollo Free Methodist Church and a 1951 graduate of Freeport High School and lived in the Riverview and Kepple Hill area for many years.  Lois was employed by many sewing factories including Double Delta and Sears.  She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, baking, and was known for her homemade baked goods.  She is survived by two daughters Rheta Kesler of Vandergrift, and Carol (Stephen) Patrick of North Apollo, a brother Alan (Virgina) Bowser of Allegheny Township, a sister Betty (Harry) Miller of Apollo, Lois "Ma" was a loving grandmother to her two grandchildren Jennifer (Frank) Matarrese, Stephen (Bud) Patrick, and two great grandchildren Anthony and Kaitlyn Matarrese.  Lois is preceded in death by her husband's Robert Kesler and Harold Hughes Sr., three infant children Lori, William, and Linda Kesler, a sister Althea Cupec, and six brothers Jim, Harold, Chuck, Bob, Floyd, and Bill.   Friends and family will be received on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the JANETTE L.
