Marjorie Varner 94, of Vandergrift passed away January 3, 2014 at Concordia Lutheran Ministires, Cabot, PA where she had resided since April 19. Marjorie was born November 1, 1919 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Basil and Goldie (Davis) Warden. She was a member of the 1937 graduating class of Cambridge High School and a 1938 graduate of Zanesville Beauty School and worked for 10 years after graduation at the Deluxe Beauty Shop in Cambridge, owned by her cousin Orvetta Erven. Majorie was preceded in death by first husband, Eugene Mosser of Cambridge in 1947 and her second husband of 44 years Edgar M Varner of Vandergrift in 1994. She was also preceded in death by brothers Leo (Infant) and Frank Warden of Cambridge and her life-long friend Ruby McElroy Ammar of Canton. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Varner of Vandergrift with whom she previously made her home, her sister Sarah Ballentine of Plant city, Fl, her sister -in -law Susan, Ester Warden of Cambridge, her like daughter Susan Bissel (Chet) smith of Apollo, and her nieces and nephews. Wells of Canton Ohio, Glesson Fishel of Vandergrift, Ida Mae Wragg of Florida, her Meals on Wheels friends, and her former cargivers Rona Weiss and Cathy Sullivan of Vandergrift. Marjorie was a member of the Vandergrift Presbyterian Church and the former Trinity United Presbyterian Church of Vandergrift. She served as a Deacon, a Sinday School Teacher, Youth Club Craft Class teacher and helped for many years in the kitchen for Youth Club. She also belonged to a Canasta Club for over 50 years. Marjorie enjoyed many years of sewing and crocheting making over 90 afghans for family and friends; she also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was a wonderful and loving wife and mother and will be remembered for the smile she always had for everyone, never showing the constant pain she endured for many years. Viewing for Marjorie will be at the Vandergrift Presbyterian Church on January 11, 2014 from 10 am till time of service at 11am. with
