Mary Lois Simmers, 75, of Apollo passed away Monday, September 4, 2017. She was born May 26, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Harry and Lois (Davis) Simmers. Mary was a 1960 graduate from Apollo High School and was once employed as a Food Manager for Meals on Wheels in Arizona. She enjoyed watching golf on television, traveling to Vegas, and spending time with her family. She is survived by two brothers Harvey (Loilette) Simmers of North Carolina, Harry (Patricia) Simmers III of Las Vegas, three sisters Nancy Anthony of Apollo, June Simmers Lukehart of Spring Church and Carol (Zane) Taylor of North Carolina, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brother in-laws Gary Lukehart and Stanley Anthony, and a nephew Sam Anthony.
