MaryAnn Maiorca Dentu, 80, of Salina (born in Oakmont, PA) went to be with the lord on Monday, July 1st , 2019. She was born March 26, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria Merana Maiorca. MaryAnn was a graduate of Penn State University, and earned her Master's degree in teaching. She was employed with Lincoln International Schools where she pursued her dream and taught for schools overseas. MaryAnn was involved with, and loved, elementary education for forty years. MaryAnn gave her life to the Lord in 1968 and it changed her life forever MaryAnn loved to spend time with her family, reading her bible, knitting, listening to Frank Sinatra, and telling many stories of her life in Africa. She had a passion for prayer and was known to call many weekly to pray with them. She was an amazing woman. MaryAnn is survived by her three sons Christian Martin Dentu, Jacob Eliah Dentu Jr., and Salvatore Maiorca Dentu, her daughter ClaraMarie Kolibea Dentu-Nabors, two brothers Nicholas and Steven Maiorca, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years (before his death) Jacob Eliah Gyampo Dentu.
