(20 unread) - jgfuneral - Yahoo Mail Millie S. (Slomka) Walter, 70, of Hyde Park passed away peacefully on Saturday October 26, 2013 with her family at her side. She was born November 13, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Chester J. Slomka and Josephine Daciola Wills. Millie retired from the Leechburg Giant Eagle Hot Foods Department. She enjoyed family gatherings, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing video poker machines. and dinners with her sisters. She is survived by her husband Glenn Walter of Hyde Park, a daughter Sheri (Chris) Verdecchia of Virginia, and two sons Michael (Jennifer) Burns of Hyde Park, Stephen (Rochelle) Burns of Ford City, three sisters Carolyn (Dean) Walker of Oklahoma Borough, Patricia (Jack) Wilmot of Kiski Township and Linda (Bill) Wilmot of Sarver, five grandchildren Katherine, Paige, Mason, Logan, and Olyvia, a niece Heather, and nephews Joe, Charl, Scott, and Justin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Barbara Mattox and a nephew Cory Wilmot. Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday October 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 and Wednesday October 30, 2013 from 10 am till time of service at 11am at the Janette L. Gamble funeral Home Inc., 2842 River Road Vandergrift, PA 15690, 724-567-7006 with Pastor Lee Rupert Officiating.
