Nellie Irene Moon, 93, of Apollo went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2022. She was born in Parkersburg, WV on February 24, 1929, and the daughter of the late Robert and Melvina Beyler. Nellie retired from Respironics, Inc. in 2011 and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas to visit her daughters and their families. She loved playing Bingo, cards, and doing crossword puzzles while listening to old country gospel music, but mostly, cherished the time she spent with her family. Nellie had a smile for everyone, and her laughter will be missed. Nellie is survived by four sons: Robert Moon of Upper Burrell, Kenneth Moon Sr. of Clairton, John (Eleanor) Moon of North Versailles, and LeRoy (Judy) Moon Jr. of Brunswick, GA; eight daughters: Sharon Loughner of North Versailles, Linda Howell of Apollo, Diane (James) Fry of Avonmore, Margaret (Timothy) Kearns of Apollo, Edna (Timothy) Gregg of Las Vegas, NV, Mickey (Dale) Foster of Las Vegas, NV, Karen (Robert) Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, and Sandra Moon of North Apollo; two sisters, Alice Botti of Turtle Creek and Audrey Jessup of North Versailles; 33 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Tippy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Moon Sr.; her daughter, Laura Barrette; three brothers: Kenneth, James, and George; two sisters, Elsie and Fran; two sons-in-law, Walter (Sharon) Loughner II and Robert (Linda) Howell Sr.; a daughter-in-law, Lynne (Kenneth Sr.) Moon; a granddaughter, Teresa Moon; and a granddaughter-in-law, Chrystal (Michael) Fry. The Family will be received for visitations on July 5, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Family and friends will be received on July 6th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on July 7th from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating at the Janette L.
