Obituary

Nicholas Grzybek, 36, a vibrant soul bound to the spirit of life and the outdoors, left us suddenly on June 13, 2026, in a tragic car accident. Born on July 7, 1989, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, Nicholas’s journey was one marked by courage, joy, and an unyielding love for family and friends.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Nicholas served four years with honor and distinction. His military journey bore a sacrifice—the loss of his hearing—but never dimmed his bright spirit or his courage. This experience shaped a man resilient and steadfast, a testament to his inner strength.

After his service, Nicholas embraced the thrill of life in every form. Selling cars at Smails dealership, he brought warmth and enthusiasm to his work, connecting with people through his fun-loving personality. His passions extended far beyond the showroom; he was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer, finding peace and exhilaration in the great outdoors. Sports betting, a hobby he regarded not just as a pastime but as a lucky charm, added a spark to his days, reflecting his zest for life and hope’s enduring flame.

Nicholas loved profoundly. He is survived by his father Jeffrey Grzybek of Oklahoma Boro, and his brother, Beau Grzybek of Oklahoma Boro he was a cherished son and brother, a presence full of laughter and light. He was also surrounded by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who hold dear the memories of his vibrant spirit. He is preceded by his mother, Judith McIntyre Grzybek, passed in 2022, and his paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Eugene Grzybek, along with maternal grandparents, Edith and Bob McIntyre, have gone before him, their legacies live on through Nicholas’s memory—a living echo of love and family pride.

Those who knew Nicholas remember him for the life he lived with joyous intensity—a man who loved life, family, and friends with an open heart and unwavering loyalty. His luck at gambling was just one reflection of his broader optimism, a symbol of a man who met each day with hope and courage.

Friends and loved ones will gather to honor Nicholas’s memory with visitation and funeral services at the Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home, located at 2842 River Road, Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, 15690. A military service conducted by Vandergrift honor guard will be held on June 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM, followed immediately by a funeral visitation from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Later that evening, another visitation will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a funeral service at 8:Pm celebrating a life well-lived and deeply loved.

Nicholas Grzybek’s absence leaves a void touched by sorrow but softened by the enduring glow of his memory—a life lived fully, a spirit unforgotten. In every whisper of the wind over the water, in every quiet moment on the golf course, and in the laughter shared among family and friends, Nicholas’s presence remains—eternal, cherished, and free.
