Norma Jean (Hansen) Pettigrew, 86, of Vandergrift, went to be with the Lord Thursday, December. 5, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 1, 1933, in Vandergrift, the daughter of the late Roy and Stella (Wajteska) Hansen. Norma was a graduate of Vandergrift High School and Greater Works School of Ministry. She met and married her sweetheart Earl Dwight Pettigrew and raised six children – five girls and one boy. She was employed at the A&P, Beighleys, Gils, and Millers/Wagner's grocery store. She was a co-pastor of Living Waters Family Worship Center, in North Huntingdon. Her faith was strong, and her resolve unfettered. She was a woman of prayer – the greatest of prayer warriors. Norma's compassion and love knew no ends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who offered love and support not only to her own family but to those around her. She is survived by; her son, Jerry Pettigrew, of Lower Burrell; five daughters, Theresa Musser, of Apollo, Michelle Galligher, of Cape Coral, Fla., Christine Johnston, of Monroeville, Jacqueline Heder, of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Annette (John) Howe, of Fort Myers, Fla., and sisters, Bernadette Cunningham, of Lancaster, Marian Huska of Hyde Park, and a brother Richard Hansen of New Kensington. She has 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Roy and Stella Hansen, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Earl Dwight Pettigrew.
