Ray Baer, 78, of Vandergrift passed away suddenly on May 22, 2024. Born on October 30, 1945, he was the son of the late Marshall and Leeta (Arnold) Baer. Ray was a graduate of Meyers Dale High School and retired from the construction field where he was employed by Ross Construction. Ray enjoyed collecting antique clocks and was a hobbyist for yard sales. In his spare time, he was often working outside with gardening and mowing grass. He loved country music but always found time for outings and events with his family.

Ray is survived by his wife of twenty years, Jeannene Baer of Vandergrift; his four sisters: Beala (Dave) Emmort of Springfield, WV; Donna (Brian) Rabinette of Salisbury, PA; Deborah (Rod) Berkley of Salisbury, PA; and Phyllis (Ben) Farrell; his sister-in-law, Norma Baer; his stepson, Dwayne Walterson of Vandergrift; his stepdaughter, Jennifer Dietrich of Camp Joann, PA; and his step-granddaughter, Jessa Pontier of Apollo.

In addition to her parents, Ray is preceded in death by his brother Harold Baer.
