Richard Engler, 84, of New Kensington, "got the hell out of Dodge" as he would say and went to be with his buddies in Heaven, on October 31, 2018. He was born February 4, 1934, the son of the late Joseph (Cecelia Galish) Engler. Richard retired from Swank Construction and was a member of the local labor union 1058 for over 50 years and a 1951 graduate from Ken High School. Rich had a true passion for the outdoors, he loved to Hunt, Fish, and Garden. He was an amazing man who always had an inspiring heckle and advised his children with his favorite quote. " If you can't dazzle them with your brilliance then baffle them with your bullshit!" His wise words will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Joan (Mydock) Engler, three sons Richard (Carol) Engler of Vandergrift; Michael (Teresa) Engler of Washington PA; Louie Engler of Oklahoma, two daughters Carol Jo (Todd) Armstrong of Allegheny Township; Lori (Wayne) Zaremba of Lower Burrell, nine grandchildren Carrie; Johanna; Nikki; Anna; Jay; Kelsey; Kristen; Samantha; Alex, and two great-grandchildren Lily Jo and Tyler. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Joseph Engler in childhood. A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to The Janette L.
