Robert James Henry, 78, of Allegheny Township, Sunnybrooke acres, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 surrounded by his family, born February 25, 1943 in Sligo Pennsylvania and was the son of Gilbert R. Sr. and Ressie (Guntrum) Henry. Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Alcoa after 32 years of employment. He enjoyed watching Penn State Football and was an avid Pittsburgh sport fan especially spending a lot of his time cheering on the Pirates. Bob's hobbies were the genealogy of the Henry Family where he was able to locate many relatives, but his favorite pass time was spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cathryn (Kniep) Henry, Two Daughters Melissa Leigh (Chip) Peraldo, Jennifer Anne (Joe) Moglia, two grandsons Nicholas Joseph Moglia, Austin Henry Cessna, a granddaughter Janey Cathryn Cessna, four sisters Dorothy Foust, Dolores Fowler, Norma Lewis, Shirley Hoover and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two infant grandsons Cameron, Ryan, three brothers Jack Henry, Gilbert R. Henry Jr., and infant Donald Henry. A private burial will take place at Sligo cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Janette L. Gamble Funeral home Inc. 2842 River Road Vandergrift, PA 15690.
