Ronald Kent
Ramaley
February 24, 1951 – November 23, 2025
Ronald Kent Ramaley, 74, of Vandergrift, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025 with his wife and daughter by his side. Born on February 24, 1951, he was the beloved son of the late Murray and Anne (California) Ramaley.
Ron graduated from Kiski Area High School and later retired from Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, where he worked with dedication as an Electron Microscopy Engineer. Beyond his career, Ron's greatest joy was his family. For 46 years, he shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife, Sidney (Lee) Ramaley, and together they raised their daughter, Kendra Ramaley. He also lovingly embraced his niece, Adrian Lee, as a daughter, and cherished her children, Malachi, Lexi, and Ryker, who knew him fondly as "Pappy." His love extended to his great-grandchild, Azariah, who brought him endless happiness.
Ron's life was rich with simple pleasures and meaningful moments. He was known for his generosity to his family and would also be the first to assist someone in need. Ron took great joy in gifting toys and essential comforts to families facing hardships during the holiday season. His adventurous side led him into hunting, fishing and building their family camp near Ridgway, PA. Ron collected firearms and was a member of the Parks Township Sportsmen Club. He took pride in his gardens, treasured family trips to the beach and enjoyed watching cooking shows and classic Western movies.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sidney; his daughter, Kendra; his niece, Adrian (Mike Milanak) Lee; grandchildren: Malachi, Lexi, and Ryker Milanak; great-grandchild, Azariah Milanak; brothers, Gary Ramaley and Jay (Diane) Ramaley; and sisters: Jani Ramaley, Nancy (Joe) DePanicis, and Sandy Ramaley.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry (Ramaley) Pacuch and Dennis Ramaley.
A memorial and celebration of Ron's life will be held in Spring 2026, honoring the love, laughter, and memories he shared with all who knew him.
