Ronald Rimel, 67, of Apollo passed away Monday, February 15, 2016.  He was born May 19, 1948,  and the son of Thomas Rimel and the late Dorothy (Wikert) Rimel.  Ron worked as a Dispatcher in the hot mill for Allegheny Ludlum, where he retired in 2005.  Ron is also a veteran of the United States Army, and a graduate of Leechburg High School.  He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors, but his true love was his family and his grandchildren.  Survivors include his Wife of 45 years Anna Rearic Rimel of Apollo, two sons Nicholas (Ruth Ann) Rimel of Apollo, Joseph Rimel of Apollo, five grandchildren, Jenna, Austin, Shane, Madison, Braedon, one great grandchild Aliyha, his father Thomas Rimel of Gilpin Township, and a sister Cindy Rimel of Gilpin Township. Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6;00 to 8:00 pm with a service immediately following at 8:00 pm at The Janette L.
