Rose Marie Tatar, 75, of East Vandergrift, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Frank Marzullo and Lena (Peter) Trisoline Cicero. Rose Marie was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in East Vandergrift and a graduate of Arnold High School, where she played clarinet in the band, and she also attended Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh. In her earlier years, she was employed by Numec and also The Bell Telephone Company in New Kensington. Rose Marie's favorite pastimes were reading, playing cards, ceramics and working crossword puzzles. She loved family gatherings and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Rose Marie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Julius (Tate) Tatar; four sons, James Tatar, of Coal Township, Steven (Marcie) Tatar, of East Vandergrift, Dennis (Susan) Tatar, of Northumberland, and David (Tina) Tatar, of Monroeville; a brother, William Trisoline, of West Vandergrift; a sister, Patricia (Rick) Strenko, of Ebensburg; two sisters-in-law, Florence and Ann; and nine grandchildren, Jessica, Alexis, Devon, Lucas, Nicholas, Mathew, Michael, Christopher and Lauren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristin. A private family visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at the JANETTE L. GAMBLE FUNERAL HOME INC., 2842 River Road, Vandergrift, PA 15690, 724-567-7006, followed by a Mass at 1 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in East Vandergrift with Father Michael J. Sciberras as celebrant. Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.
