Ruth Hesketh, 85, of Vandergrift passed away peacefully on October 7, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born on June 17,1938, and was the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy L. (Smith) Lockard. Ruth was a graduate of Vandergrift High School. She was a caring mother, wife, and soulmate for 67 years. Ruth enjoyed spending time with family and was a dedicated member of the Pleasant View Brethren Church of Kepple Hill. Holidays were her favorite when she would decorate her home and bring the family together.

Ruth is survived by her husband, William Hesketh; three sons: Billy (Norene) Hesketh, Ray (Ellen) Hesketh, and Don (Denise) Hesketh; her daughter, Ritha (Bob) McLaughlin; a sister-in-law, Erma (Cookie) Harnish of Vandergrift; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her brother, John Lockard and brother-in-law, Jerry (Sarah) Hesketh of North Carolina.

Family and friends will be received for a visitation on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at the Pleasant View Brethren Church, Pleasant View Dr. Vandergrift, PA 15690 with Pastor Todd Ruggles officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pleasant View Brethren Church or the Victorian Vandergrift Museum and Historical Society. Arrangements are entrusted to the Janette L.
