Obituary

Ryder George Hawkins passed away at the age of 4 years old on Sunday, June 5, 2022. He was born March 28, 2018. Ryder was a beautiful little boy who loved giving big hugs, playing on his tablet, watching his movie credits, and eating fruit snacks. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, and friend. Ryder is survived by his parents, Scottie Hawkins and Kourtney Mowrey; his sister, Daisy Rae; his grandparents, Kimberly Mowrey (Norman) of East Vandergrift and David and Christina Hawkins of Lower Burrell; his great-grandparents: Patricia Marcantonio of Brackenridge, Bill Hall, Conrad Hawkins, and Girtrue (Billie Jo) Burkett of Lower Burrell; four aunts: Kayla (Chad Farster) Mowrey of Gilpin, Kaci (Josh Robb) Mowrey of Allegheny Township, Amber Hawkins of Lower Burrell, and Ashley Dumbaugh of Salina; one uncle, Tyler (Shelby) Hawkins of Sarver ;his buddy Norman and six cousins: Ayden, Troy, Rogan, Maverick, Rylie, and Emery. and many great Aunts and Uncles. He is preceded in death by his great-grandpa, George Burkett and his uncle, Brandon Hawkins. Everyone will miss Ryder's energy, smile, and his hugs dearly. In lieu of flowers, Ryder's family is asking for donations to be sent to The Autism Science Foundation to help children with disabilities follow their dreams and continue research for children with autism. There will be a private visitation for immediate family and friends on Thursday, June 7, 2022, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home Inc. with a service immediately following with a close family friend, Betty McNeal, officiating. Online condolences may be made at gamblefh.com.
