Sandy
Harkabusic
April 2, 1950 – December 2, 2025
Sandy Harkabusic, 75, of Apollo, went to be with Jesus on December 2, 2025. She was born on April 2, 1950, the daughter of Calvin and Gwen (Fishel) Roush of Apollo.
Sandy was a 1968 graduate of Apollo High School where she excelled in her studies as well as athletics. She was the Cheerleader Captain and was voted most athletic of her class.
Sandy retired after over 20 years of employment with Chelsea Building Products. She worked in the allied products section fabricating windows, the blending facility, turning raw materials into windows and finished her Chelsea career in the MRO (stock room) where she ordered products. Sandy established an exceptional rapport with vendors, always negotiating for the lowest possible costs, saving thousands of dollars. Sandy was a devoted member of Apollo Assembly of God. Her love for the Lord and her church family radiated throughout her life.
Reading and crocheting brought Sandy peace. She loved traveling to many places such as CO, MO, and FL to name a few. She always helped others before herself. She loved any excuse to make even the simplest event a party! She was an excellent chef and always cooked for an army! Her favorite was to plan picnics in her yard for family and friends! Sandy loved Bingo and playing cards with her sisters, her beloved friend Sis (Jacqueline), and her cousins Bob and (the late Cheryle). Sandy will be a treasured memory for all who knew her.
Sandy is survived by her husband Jerry Harkabusic of Apollo, her daughter Stacy (Ray Pierce) Harkabusic of East Vandergrift, two sons, Jeremy Harkabusic of Apollo, Sam (Carla Bertetto) Harkabusic of Vandergrift, four sisters Peggy (the late Tim) Kramer of Punxsutawney, Kerry (Dan) Brainard of Warren, OH, Wendy (the late Kenneth) Minik of North Apollo, Merrill (John) Mollick of VA, and a brother Thomas Roush of Aliquippa, five grandchildren, Michael Music of Paulton, Zachary Hudak of Fredericksburg, VA, Conner Harkabusic of Bell Township, Destiny Harkabusic of Vandergrift, Cael Harkabusic of Vandergrift and one great granddaughter, Micka Music of Paulton as well as numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly!
A graveside service will be held in April. Information will be sent to close friends and family members in the spring of 2026.
