Theda Lavine Slama, 81, of Ford City went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 3, 2022. She was born September 2, 1940, and the daughter of the late Robert "Fritz" and Grace "Hankey" Waltenbaugh. Theda was an inspiration to everyone. She loved her family and enjoyed holidays, spending time playing cards, bowling, going to the movies, and having a fun night out with close family and friends. Her favorite pass times were dancing and listening to music. Theda is survived by her five children: Randy (Leona) Slama of Ford City, Teresa "Tess" Roup-Rearic of Spring Church, Shawani (Don) Reid of Leechburg, Mark Slama of Freeport, and Lucy (John) Myers of Kittanning; a brother-in-law, Robert (Janet) Slama of Slate Lick; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Theda was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Jack Slama; her brother, Marvin Waltenbaugh; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Gadley. Family and friends will be received for visitations on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm then Saturday, July 9th from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the Janette L.
