Violet Evelyn Ritter, 100, of Leechburg went to be with the Lord, Wednesday January 10, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born on May 15, 1917 and is the daughter of the late Fredrick and Elma (Corbet) Bauer. Violet was a member of Christian Alliance Church. She was once employed by Turners Dairy Farm and also provided childcare for many years. She loved being outdoors and would spend her time gardening or just going on walks. Some of her other hobbies included crocheting and playing bingo. Violet is survived by two granddaughters Sharon (Kerry) Jackson of New Kensington, Darla (David) Smith of North Carolina, five great Grandchildren Jessica (Eric) Cox of Leechburg, Kerry (Samantha) Jackson of Leechburg, Nathan (Katherine) Smith of North Carolina, Stephanie (Derek Thomas) Smith of Georgia, nine great, great grandchildren Isaac and Savanna Cox, Braylen, Emma, Camgyn Jackson, Charlotte, Amelia, Mathias, Arthur Smith and her sister Velma Meli of Tionesta, In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Stanley Ritter, a son Richard Ritter, a daughter Shirley Gower, five siblings Mildred Kiser, Etta Boyd, Floyd, Raymond, Harold Bauer.
A private visitation for the family will take place on Thursday evening and a service on Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor Scott Reichert officiating at The Janette L.
