Walter "Buck" Haggerty Sr., 72, of Shelocta, passed away Friday, Dec. 4, 2015. He was born June 22, 1943, and was a son of the late George and Sarah Grindle Haggerty. Buck was a truck driver for many companies, before retiring from Don Martin Trucking. His favorite pastimes were fishing, bingo, riding quads and spending time with his children. Survivors include his wife and best friend of 51 years, Judith Snyder Haggerty, of Shelocta; a daughter, Karen (Phil) Maines, of Shelocta; three sons, Walter (Winford Sassar) Haggerty Jr., of Shelocta, Eli (Leona) Haggerty, of Leechburg, and Chad (Heather) Haggerty, of Iselin; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven sisters; two stepsisters; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother; two sisters; a brother; and a granddaughter, Rachel Maines.      Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, and from 11 a.m. till time of service at noon Monday at the JANETTE L.
